![]() Yoga For The Core
Finding Stability In An Unstable Environment
by Suzette O'Byrne
This book is designed to teach you about the inner core – how to find it, how to activate it, and how to strengthen and challenge it. You will learn how to draw your root energy through your inner core and stabilize your back from the inside out. You will identify compensating movements and learn how to release and position yourself to allow the ease to flow. You will understand the difference between inner core and outer core and learn how to incorporate both into your training to create a healthy posture and an optimal moving environment. In this way, all your movements will flow safely from the core, your energy will flow freely through your spine and throughout the body.

A Guided Relaxation
by Suzette O'Byrne
For most people, Savasana is the most beneficial and enjoyable part of a yoga session. Savasana has been found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, relax the body, release tension as well as reduce the occurrence and/or intensity of headaches, fatigue, and insomnia. It is considered one of the most important parts of a yoga session as it is when our bodies integrate and assimilate what we have done through our yoga poses and breath work. Savasana is also a chance for us to take a break from our over stimulated world and rest. Rest in our body, our mind, and our breath. It is because of this necessary rest that many people find Savasana the most difficult part of a yoga session. These obstacles can be sleep, boredom, mental agitation (thoughts of the past or future overcoming our ability to focus on the present) and physical agitation (i.e. itches, restlessness), and the ultimate obstacle: thinking you don't need Savasana anymore. Even though it's spoken of as the most difficult asana to master, its focus is simple. Let go and rest in the softness of the breath, the stillness of the body, the peace in the mind. Allow this CD to guide you through Savasana. Allow yourself to connect with your body, mind and breath and experience a stillness that washes over you, slowing the brain waves and leaving you in a subtle euphoria – the ultimate harmony.
